Since 2023, the vivo Imagine Smartphone Photography Awards have created a national platform for smartphone photographers across India to bring their perspective, craft and visual storytelling to the fore.
Now in Season 4, the platform expands further with the introduction of Short Films, creating new ways for photographers and filmmakers to tell stories through a vivo smartphone.

Curiosity now moves.
For the first time, Short Films join the vivo Imagine Smartphone Photography Awards.
With My City as the theme, filmmakers are invited to follow what fascinates them about the places they call home. The people. The sounds. The routines. The contradictions. The corners only they would notice.
Then turn that curiosity into a story in motion.

The first edition
vivo Imagine Smartphone Photography Awards launches with six photography categories, masterclasses and a national platform for smartphone photographers.
- 2024
The community grows
More than 17,000 entries are received from across India. Thirty finalists progress to jury-led masterclasses and a final challenge.
- 2025
The platform grows further
Season 3 expands participation across six photography categories and introduces a People’s Choice category.
- 2026
A new chapter
Season 4 puts curiosity at the heart of the Awards and introduces the Short Films category for the first time.
